Abstract:

with roots going back to IVAN SUTHERLAND's research in the 1960s, Virtual Reality reached a plateau in the early 1990s when it is introduced in college and research laboratories. all though we know that we had a long way to go in this domain. but because of not advanced and fast internet, the developers were not working well on it and at that time internet was a very hot topic. but now we have the best internet and advanced technology so now the developers getting working on it. In this article, we will try to tell the growth in the last two decades. And the last five years we can see growth in VR.

objective:

explain why virtual reality can finally be seriously integrated into teaching and learning.

there are 2 important questions behind this work...

  1. what makes VR a reality no longer just a myth?

  2. How will VR improve our lives?

Introduction:

A favorite definition of virtual reality is "Human immersion in the synthetic world". This definition is especially acceptable for people who associate virtual reality with the use of a helmet. compression to the virtual reality experiment of 90's this technology has improved to an impressive level of degree.

"Virtual reality (VR) is a technology that allows us to immerse ourselves in an artificial world this world can be an entirely imaginary universe or only the reproduction of the real world".

this experience can be visual, auditory and; at times, also haptic 1. this immersion is done via virtual reality a headset that places a stereoscopic 3D display in front of the eyes. Some models are equipped with sensors that detect head tracking to allow the user to look around. The images are then recalculated in real time to synchronize with the direction of the head or gaze.

I think this domain is a big "hook" or one of the most attractive topics. when you read these two word "virtual reality" your brain suddenly get you into an imaginary world. The developer version of the Oculus Rift headset was released in 2013, and it is only in March 2016 that this headset was on the mainstream market. Google was the first to play the card of the democratization of this technology by proposing in 2014 a model of VR helmets in cardboard called Google Cardboard and which is used with a smartphone as a display system. Subsequently, other companies have manufactured more advanced versions of the Cardboard, such as Samsung through its Gear VR (the mobile version of the Oculus Rift). Versions of VR headphones connected to a computer or game console are also available on the public market since the year 2016. Besides the Oculus Rift headphones from Facebook, there is HTC's HTC Vive and Sony's PlayStation VR amongst many others. These versions of high-end headsets are more expensive and require the use of a high-performance computer or a recent game console. Less expensive helmet projects that work with underperforming computers are in progress.

If we notice that this technology comes to attention in the year of 2012. now there are many implementing technology and tools that customize the VR and give comfort to the user.

In the area of marketing and PR, there are countless fascinating VR solutions, which inspire your customers. we can now say that we are going in the right direction in this domain. Many computer scientists predict that next 10-15 years this technology growth is so fast and we saw many things which we can't imagine it. This is the initial phase of augmented and virtual reality. VR can even help people complete their physical rehabilitation after an illness or injury! so I think this domain can be a great career for people who are interested in this field.
